Professional Experience

Philips Electronics (1986 - 1993)

During 7 years I worked in various financial positions of different nature in a highly international environment. These positions included an IT marketing environment, a semiconductor operations environment and Corporate Treasury. In these positions I gained professional experience on the job as well as via internal and external training.

Applied Materials Europe B.V. (1993 - 1998)

In order to experience a different business culture and to further explore my professional experience in an expanding industry I joined a producer of wafer fabrication equipment. At Applied Materials I broadened my professional and personal scope via various finance positions and frequent international travel.

IFF (Nederland) B.V. (1998 - 2006)

In order to develop further into an all-round Finance Director I joined IFF. This position broadened my experience in relation to pension fund management, collective labour negotiations, international tax planning, IT and insurance.

As Country Manager Benelux I became responsible for one of IFF's major subsidiaries. The challenges in this position included the responsibility for sales and sales support, various support functions, managing the Hilversum site, being the IFF representative towards Works Council, unions, Board of Directors and national and European industry organizations.

Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. (2006 - Aug 2010)

By joining Friesland Foods as Director Corporate Finance & Accounting I returned to Finance combining my preference for a financial position with the broader experience gained in a general management position. Following the merger with Campina into FrieslandCampina I was appointed manager Corporate Controlling. In this position I am responsible for the RFC reporting cycle including monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting and the annual budgeting process as well as advising the Executive Board on major financial decisions.
